Harnessing Youth Potential Through Dynamic Spirituality

The word 'Motto' is deemed by the Oxford Advanced Learner's dictionary as, 'a short sentence or phrase chosen and used as a guide or rule of behaviour or as an expression of the aims or ideals of a family, a country, an institution, etc. '

Any organisation has to have a direction and focus to its objectives if it has to function properly. To guide the activities and programs of CHYK, Poojya Gurudev, Swami Chinmayanadaji framed the motto for the Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, which is 'Harnessing Youth Potential Through Dynamic Spirituality'. This motto has to be properly understood by us if we have to serve as good as Sevaks and guide the activities of the various CHYK centres.

HARNESSING YOUTH POTENTIAL:

The potential of the present day youth that is wasted away in numerous self defeating endeavors has to be diverted to profitable channels by which the society is benefited and at the same time, the individual is also transformed. First, we need to discover this hidden talent and potential and then it has to be tapped effectively in ways that help the unfoldment of the their personality. This potential when tapped should be employed in selfless service of humanity. Otherwise, this would lead to development of ego and selfishness.

THROUGH DYNAMIC SPIRITUALITY:

What better means can we employ to tap this hidden potential within youngsters than spirituality? Spirituality in its actual meaning aims at personality unfoldment that finally leads to the discovery of one's true nature hidden in oneself. rhe culmination of spirituality is in the experience of oneness in all creation. There is 10 differentiation based on caste, creed, colour, religion in spirituality. After this experience of oneness with all, there happens a natural outpouring of love towards all )eings. Any action undertaken from then on would be service to the entire world. The outer expression of spirituality is lovable service of the entire creation. The inner basis or service is love based on the vision of spirituality.

This can happen only when all activities that we undertake are divinised by the touch of spirituality. Thus dynamic spirituality means, the service of all creation with total love for .all. Through this the potential of the youth get harnessed into positive channels, resulting in continuous unfoldment of their own personality. At the same time the society is also benefited by the service of such young, dynamic minds.
